Lessons are custom designed for each student!
TEACHING METHOD
Curriculum is a custom designed program for each student. Lessons are designed to teach the necessary fundamentals and techniques while focusing towards the interests of the student. All new students begin with an interview lesson to determine their strengths and weaknesses as well as favorite styles of music and favorite bands. It will also help determine what the students’ interests are and their goals for lessons and their playing. After the first interview lesson a custom curriculum will be designed. The curriculum will also feature my method of “Edu-tainment” making lessons educational & fun. I’ve had huge success with students of all ages (4-72 years old) using this method and curriculum.

Jason started his teaching career in 1993 offering private drum set lessons. He has been on the faculty at Southeast Raleigh School of the Arts (where he served as Drum and Percussion Department Chair), Raleigh Conservatory of Music and at Drum Lab – North Carolina’s largest drum school. He taught private lessons, clinics, master classes, workshops and summer camps at the above schools.
In 2000 Owner/Instructor Jason Schmidt established JC DRUM WORKS as a fulltime business in North Carolina where he resided. There, he ran a full-time business offering private lessons, clinics, workshops and master classes from 2000-07. His then teaching studio was located at Music-Go-Round in Cary, NC as well as a private home studio in Raleigh, NC. JC DRUM WORKS offered private 30 & 45-minute lessons. Lessons were offered on Drum Set, Snare Drum and Hand Percussion. Lessons cover a variety of styles and techniques for developing a well-rounded Drummer/Musician. JC DRUM WORKS also offered Master Classes and Clinics as well as CDs and books for drummers.
